Purpose
The equal pay management system covers all employees. An employee is a person who has a current employment relationship with Norlenska matbori ehf. The system does not cover contractors or those who work irregularly.

Equal pay policy
Salary at Norlenska matbori ehf. are paid according to wage agreements with unions or special employment contracts with individual employees. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for salary decisions in collaboration with the relevant manager and bases these decisions on a detailed job classification that forms the basis of the equal pay management system. Managers are obliged to ensure equality in wage decisions, cf. Act no. 150/2020 and all genders shall be paid equal wages for the same or equivalent jobs. If an unexplained wage difference is discovered, it must be corrected and managers work constantly to ensure that this does not exist. The equal pay policy covers all employees and is also the wage policy of Norlenska ehf.

The Human Resources Manager represents the management regarding the equal pay management system and is responsible for its implementation and maintenance in accordance with the standard ST 85: 2012. In order to maintain equal pay, Norlenska matbori ehf. will:

  • Implement a certified equal pay management system according to the ST 85 standard, document and maintain.
  • Follow the relevant laws and regulations valid at any given time that apply to the equal pay system and evaluate compliance.
  • Carry out an annual wage analysis comparing the same or equivalent jobs to determine whether there is an unexplained gender pay gap. Basic salaries and additional payments are the basis for the analysis for all employees.
  • Perform internal audits annually.
  • Hold annual management reviews where equal pay targets are set and reviewed.
  • Respond to anomalies with continuous improvement.
  • Introduce an annual equal pay policy and the results of a wage analysis that is audited at a staff meeting.
  • Have the policy available on Norlenski's website.

Equal pay policy is also the wage policy of Norlenska matbori ehf.
